Celebrating International Women's Day 2023 at Enterprise
Enterprise celebrated International Women’s Day with a series of events which took place across the country.
From training sessions and networking events to awareness building activities, employees took time out to celebrate our women across the business.
With the support of their Women in Leadership Committee, the South East Group hosted an event for female Assistant Managers and Branch Managers, and welcomed Jessica-Leigh Suffolk from Alula Coaching who hosted a session on the power of visibility. The day wrapped up with a speed networking session where they were joined by senior leadership from across this business.
"female managers focused on encouraging employees to talk about why equal opportunities aren’t enough"
The North West and South West groups hosted networking sessions attended by employees, clients and university partners, with the focus on creating new connections and progression. During one of the inspiring activities, colleagues were invited to write their own future promotion note, to help set and solidify their goals for the future.
The North East and Flex-E-Rent operations marked the week with a series of awareness building messages from senior leadership, and personal blogs from female managers focused on encouraging employees to talk about why equal opportunities aren’t enough and sharing articles and videos on the topic of ‘equity’.
The Ireland team marked the day by hosting a ‘Women in Rental Leadership Development Programme’ designed to help women aspire to the next level of management.
European Head Office marked the day with an event featuring guest speaker Dr Simi Pam, a doctor, athlete and advocate, who plays rugby for the Bristol Bears Women and is also a junior NHS doctor. Simi shared her inspirational story and offered words of support and advice to an audience of more than 300 people. There was also a panel event made up of an intersectional group of women at Enterprise who all shared their stories and took part in a Q&A.
The team in Scotland hosted a brunch and networking event. Discussion points included the challenges unique to our female employees and focused on equipping them with tools to overcome them and continue to forge ahead in their careers.
