"Having us all involved in different diversity initiatives really brought out the best in us all"
Tell us about your Enterprise Mobility career so far?
I started in 2011 as a Management Trainee in Haywards Heath, a small town in West Sussex. Eight years later I am now Area Manager for three airports by following a rapid career path through our unique promote from within culture. I like this culture as it feels like I could control my own destiny! One of our brand values is: “We work hard... and reward hard work.” This is definitely a very true statement and you truly do get rewarded for your hard work.
What has been your biggest career challenge and how did you overcome this?
I was the Area Manager of Gatwick, Luton and Stansted Airports when the pandemic hit, and the airport landscape changed overnight. Thankfully the business supported us through these uncertain times, and I was moved to a Home City location. The period of unknown was challenging, for work life and personal life too.
I used skills that I had learned very early in my career around overcoming adversity. I helped the team focus on the job at hand and create a safe and fun place to work where we could serve our customers.
What has been your proudest career moment?
After my first year as Area Manager, my area reached number one in our UK branch performance, and I won an award at the Area Manager Summit in 2019. This was a very proud moment for me and the amazing team that I had been working with.
Having us all involved in different diversity initiatives really brought out the best in us all. The great team spirit we built was a testimony to our committed and diverse team, one that was working together for a common goal.

Where do you currently work?
After becoming a mum and taking a year of maternity leave, I am now back to managing Gatwick, Stanstead, and Luton Airports. The most rewarding part of returning was rebuilding my team. We had two very new Branch Managers and we worked together to achieve our great customer service levels. Day-to-day we are living our values especially, “customer service is our way of life.”
What motivates you?
I was taught by my parents to have very high standards and set big goals to push yourself forward. I always focus on where I want to get to and make sure that each day, I add value to be able to get to the next step.
What advice would you give to others?
Do not be fazed when a challenge steps your way. Break it down and find ways to overcome it.
Reach out and expand your network. All our department heads and senior leaders have been in the same starting position and they are always happy to give advice.
